A Conversation with a Borgata Floorman
The other night I sat down at a newly formed 1/2 NL game at Tropicana. The composition was great: Four Philly guys ordering drink after drink, a few new rocks, and just one other player who knew what he was doing, who I would later find out is a Borgata floorman playing during his off time. Well as luck would have it, one of the REALLY drunk guys wins over $600 as the deck hits him in the face, I am stuck around $300, as is the floorman.
The floorman and I get to talking and I was telling him how I used play 2/5 NL a few times a month last year at Borgata. Until between a mix of bad luck and possibly poor play I got cleaned. His eyes light up and he sternly delivers the line "Hey listen, I can't prove the guys (regulars) in the 2/5 game are cheating but they are all friends and when someone out of their circle sits down they destroy them". This reaffirmed my believing that the next time I play 2/5 NL at the Borgata I need to be properly bankrolled (at least $5k) to play hardball with the regs. I ended up playing 1/2 NL the next day at the Borgata and won over $600... 1/2 NL is an easy game but the thurst for a bigger kill leads you to 2/5 NL

Thanks for checking out my blog. Where in Baltimore do you live? My parents are in Severna Park. I was there for two weeks over the holidays.
The next time you go to the Borgata I'll fly in and we won't let those 2/5 rocks get the best of us.
Me and you and all the other bloggers that live in Jersy and New York will sit at the table and force those cheaters out of the game!
Your house is so convenient to all of the action downtown! I used to really do A LOT of partying in Baltimore.
Anyway, out here in Vegas I used to work at the MGM Grand, but now I'm looking for an office job.
I play poker when I can. I like to play live at the MGM or the Red Rock Casino, but lately finances are tight so I'm just looking for a job hard core now and as soon as the checks start coming in I'll be playing more often.
For now i'm playing online at Full Tilt since I have a bunch of money tied up on there and I can't cash it out of net teller anyway.
I used to play all the time in A.C. when I lived in Maryland. Love the Borgata!
you are right about the 1/2nl bieng almost easy money. but the thrill for bigger buck$ in the 2/5nl is what i live for now. and there are alot of regs. in the 2/5nl i played at recently but i saw nothing shady bout' it.they only got my $ cause i was stupid and trying to hit a miracle 4 outer. i just got stupid and greedy other wise it would have been a 3k 2day trip at least.
